English translation

To the Goddess who abides in all beings in the form of power: homage to her, homage to her, homage to her, again and again.
DurgaShakti editorial rendering of this selected verse; śakti is rendered as “power.”
Meaning in context
The refrain offers repeated homage. The phrase sarvabhūteṣu locates the Goddess in all beings, and śaktirūpeṇa names power or capacity as the form through which she is praised. Other salutations in the chapter name consciousness, memory, hunger and further aspects of embodied life. This selected line should therefore be read within a sustained hymn, not as a complete account of Shakti by itself.
The source and its setting
Chapter 5 belongs to the Devi Mahatmya. Its narrative setting precedes the battles with Shumbha and Nishumbha. The Shakti cornerstone explains the theological concept; the Navratri guide introduces a festival setting in which Goddess recitation is practiced.

Pronunciation notes
IAST preserves long vowels and distinguishes ś from ṣ and s. The conjunct in saṃsthitā and the dative ending in tasyai matter. Bar marks show verse divisions, not musical timing.
